About the Role

We are seeking compassionate and reliable Patient Transport Officers to join our team.

In this role you will assist with ambulant and non-ambulant patients, transporting them between healthcare facilities and medical appointments, with dignity, supportive care and comfort.

Key Responsibilities

- This position requires flexibility to work across a 24/7 roster, including nights, weekends, and public holidays

- Provide safe and skilled patient transport services (ambulant and non ambulant)

- Assist patients with mobility during transfers and transport, as required

- Monitor patients wellbeing during transport

- Communicate clearly, effectively and respectfully with patients, families and healthcare staff





- Maintain cleanliness and readiness of vehicles/equipment in line with procedures

- Follow safety guidelines, policies and transport protocols at all times

About You

- High attention to detail in personal presentation and personal hygiene. Ensuring a neat, professional appearance that reflects positively on the organisation and promotes comfort and confidence for passengers

- Compassionate, calm and professional manner

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work effectively, both autonomously and as part of a team

- Physically capable of assisting patients with potential mobility needs

- Reliable, punctual and safety focused

To be Considered

You must have the following, to be considered for the role:

- Full vaccination status (MMR, Hepatitis B, Chicken Pox & Whooping Cough)

- Current First Aid & CPR Certificate

- Current Blue Card

- Current Open Driver's Licence (minimum C or LR Class)

- Flexibility to work shift hours and weekends

Experience in nursing or transport would be an advantage, however it is not essential
