Your current company A well-established West Australian business supporting major mining and energy organisations is seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join their growing finance team. This is a hands-on role where you'll play a key part in stabilising and improving payroll processes while supporting a large, diverse workforce.

Your current role

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for:

- End-to-end payroll processing across multiple entities
- Managing high-volume weekly and fortnightly payrolls
- Interpreting and applying multiple awards and EBA conditions
- Processing FIFO allowances including meal and travel allowances
- Ensuring payroll accuracy, compliance and timely delivery
- Managing payroll queries and stakeholder communication
- Identifying process improvements and supporting system optimisation
- Assisting with payroll reconciliations and reporting

What you'll need to succeed To be successful, you will possess:

- Demonstrated end-to-end payroll experience in a complex workplace




- Experience managing multiple awards and high-volume payrolls
- Exposure to large ERP systems is highly desirable.
- Alternatively, strong experience using large ERP payroll systems
- Understanding of casual, permanent and FIFO workforce payroll requirements
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to work autonomously and adapt quickly to changing priorities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- A collaborative, team-focused approach
