We’re on the hunt for a Junior Payroll Officer with ambition to join our high-performing National Payroll team, supporting 25,000 employees across Australia while gaining hands-on experience with Workday, one of the world’s leading payroll platforms. What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be right in the action, learning end-to-end payroll in a fast-paced, high-volume environment:

- Assist with weekly payroll processing (Workday Payroll)
- Maintain employee data — new starters, changes, terminations
- Work with Time & Attendance data (LIFELENZ)
- Get exposure to complex payroll calculations:
- Annual, personal, parental & long service leave
- Workers compensation
- Support month-end and year-end payroll activities
- Interpret Awards & EBAs (and actually understand them, not just tick boxes)
- Handle payroll queries via email, phone & JIRA
- Assist with reconciliations (super, payroll tax, YTD)




- Contribute to process improvements and system enhancements

What You Bring

- 1–3 years payroll experience (high-volume is a bonus)
- Basic understanding of payroll legislation, tax, Awards/EBAs
- Robust attention to detail (you spot what others miss)
- Confident communicator — written & verbal
- Team player who can juggle priorities with the right attitude

Bonus Points If You Have

- Exposure to Workday or similar HRIS/payroll systems
- Payroll qualifications (Cert/Diploma)
- Excel skills — formulas, pivots, data handling
