Payroll Officers - Multiple Temporary Opportunities

About the Role

Reporting to the Payroll Manager or Payroll Team Leader, you will support accurate and timely payroll processing within a high volume environment. Depending on the assignment, responsibilities may cover end-to-end payroll or a specialised area of the payroll function.

Duties

- Maintaining employee records, new starters, variations and terminations
- Reviewing timesheets, leave, allowances and deductions
- Calculating superannuation, back pay and termination payments




- Responding to employee payroll queries
- Interpreting relevant Awards, EBAs and payroll legislation
- Identifying and resolving payroll discrepancies
- Supporting month-end and year-end payroll activities
- Working closely with HR, Finance and operational stakeholders

Skills and Experience

- Previous experience in a high volume payroll environment
- Experience using Dayforce, SAP or Chris21 is highly regarded
- Solid understanding of Australian payroll legislation
- Exposure to Awards and EBAs
- Excellent attention to detail and problem solving skills
- Confident communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Ability to meet deadlines within a fast paced environment
