Build the People function behind a global creative education business.

CG Spectrum is growing, and we’re looking for a People & Culture Manager who loves making the people side of a business actually work.

This is a hands-on role for someone who can move comfortably between recruiting a great new team member, helping a manager navigate a people conversation, improving an onboarding process, getting our systems talking to each other, writing an internal announcement and finding a smarter way to do something that currently takes far too much admin.

You’ll support a globally distributed team of around 150 employees and contractors across Australia, North America, Europe and the Middle East, working closely with our CEO, Executive Leadership Team, managers and Finance.

And importantly, we’re open to what the right arrangement looks like. This could be full-time or 0.8 FTE, and for the right person we’re even open to a school-hours style arrangement across five days. Our team is global, so there will occasionally be a need to flex your hours to connect across time zones, but flexibility goes both ways.

What you'll own

You’ll be the operational engine of our People function, with plenty of scope to improve how we do things rather than simply inherit a set of processes.

Your world will include:

- Recruitment & talent – managing recruitment end-to-end, partnering with hiring managers, benchmarking roles and building stronger talent pipelines.
- Employee experience – making onboarding, offboarding, probation, performance reviews, contract changes and the broader employee lifecycle run beautifully.
- Manager support – being the first point of contact for everyday People matters and helping managers have better performance, development and career conversations.
- People systems & tech – keeping our People data and systems in order across platforms including Deel, Google Workspace, Slack and HubSpot, while looking for opportunities to automate and simplify.




- Culture & communication – helping us stay connected across countries and time zones through Town Halls, internal communications, recognition, engagement initiatives and company-wide moments.
- Learning & compliance – coordinating policies, compliance activity, training and People projects across a genuinely global workforce.

This isn't a role where you'll spend your day buried in HR administration.

We want someone who will look at a process and ask, “Why are we doing it this way?” and then help build something better.

Who we’re looking for

You’ll probably have around 4–5+ years' experience across People/HR operations, ideally in an organisation that has experienced growth, change or complexity.

You’ll be comfortable being hands-on. You don’t need a team beneath you to get things moving, and you’re equally happy thinking about the employee experience as you are getting into the details of systems, documentation and process.

You’ll also bring strong written communication skills, confidence supporting managers through everyday People matters, and enough commercial judgement to know when something needs to be escalated.

Experience in education, training or another regulated environment would be fantastic, but isn’t essential. Exposure to global employment environments, HR automation or AI-enabled People processes would also be a big plus.
