We have an exciting opportunity for a Programme Planner to join our growing team in Western Australia. This role offers the opportunity to work across complex infrastructure and construction environments, supporting the delivery of high-quality planning and project controls services.
A sign-on bonus is available for successful candidates The successful candidate will play a key role in project scheduling, progress monitoring and management reporting, supporting the broader project team to maintain programme certainty and proactively identify and manage project risks.
Main Responsibilities
Planning
- Prepare project work breakdown structures and programmes capable of delivering project objectives.
- Ensure all activities within the scope of work are incorporated into programmes and appropriately logic-linked to support critical path analysis.
- Undertake resource and cost loading of programmes.
- Audit and conduct quality reviews of consultant and contractor programmes to ensure alignment with project objectives and key dates.
- Produce short-term lookahead programmes and work schedules to support proactive programme management.
- Monitor, track and maintain records of progress against project programmes.
Project Controls
- Identify and evaluate schedule risks, raise early warnings and support their inclusion within the project risk register.
- Develop appropriate schedule contingency and mitigation strategies.
- Highlight key milestones,
critical path issues and programme impacts to project teams and management.
- Identify opportunities for mitigation and contribute to the project’s critical issueslog.
- Capture schedule delays and liaise with contract management teams regarding notices and impact assessments where required.
- Produce management reporting including exception reports, resource and expenditure profiles, programme updates and presentation materials.
About You
- Degree-qualified in Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience in project planning and programme development across construction, infrastructure or civil engineering projects.
- Strong understanding of engineering, procurement, logistics and construction activities.
- Proficiency in planning software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project or Asta Powerproject.
- Ability to develop programmes from early development through construction and completion.
- Confidence analysing programme logic, sequencing, durations and critical path.
- Ability to work collaboratively with project teams, contractors and key stakeholders.
- Proactive and enthusiastic, with the ability to deliver effectively with limited supervision.
- Robust written and verbal communication skills.
