About this Position:

The Plant Operator Resource Recovery is responsible for operating heavy plant and vehicles to support the safe, efficient, and compliant movement, compaction, and management of waste materials at Council’s waste facilities.

What we trust you to deliver:

- Heavy Plant Operation: Operates a variety of heavy plant equipment such as track dozer, compactor, excavator, wheeled front-end loader, skid steer, and forklift with competence and efficiency. Ensures safe use in accordance with site procedures and operational standards.
- Heavy Rigid Vehicle Operation:Drives and operates Heavy Rigid (HR) vehicles such as, but not limited to, HR tippers, water trucks, side-arm and rear-loader waste collection vehicles, hook trucks, and bin trucks. Ensures safe and efficient operation in line with site procedures and transport regulations.
