About the Role

The Practice Development Nurse - Specialist, is responsible for supporting the professional development of all permanent and program staff across our clinical settings. Their primary role is to ensure best practice by providing ongoing education and support for all staff with particular focus on the advancement of knowledge, skills and training with relevance to the clinical setting. This will be achieved by implementing clinically based education using the principles of Evidenced Based Practice to improve the delivery of nursing care. Furthermore,



they will be responsible for their own career development in order to maintain expert clinical skills and advanced knowledge.

Classifications for this position will be RN35 ($128,102.00 per annum, pro rata).

- Current Nursing Registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia via AHPRA.
- Degree in General Nursing which meets the registration requirements of the Nursing and Midwifery board of Australia.
- Postgraduate Qualifications in relevant nursing speciality, preferably a Masters in Advanced Nursing or working towards.
- Postgraduate qualification in Education, Clinical Supervision or similar (or working towards)
- Experience in development, delivery and coordination of Nursing Education Programs.
- Minimum 5 years nursing experience.
- Experience in clinical teaching, clinical supervision, or implementation and facilitation of educational programs.
