Practice Nurse with interest in Gastrointestinal & Women's Health

Montier Health is seeking a passionate and motivated Practice Nurse (EN or RN) with a strong interest in gastrointestinal and/or women’s health to join our growing clinical team.

This is a wide-ranging clinical role working across Bowel Diagnostics & Therapy (BDT), Women’s Health and General Practice Nursing, offering an exciting opportunity for a nurse who wants to develop specialised clinical skills while continuing to work within a primary care environment.

We are not necessarily looking for a career Practice Nurse. More important to us is finding a nurse who is clinically capable, eager to learn and genuinely interested in developing their skills in gastrointestinal and women’s health.

You will work closely with GPs and other members of our clinical team, with additional education, training and competency development provided to support you in delivering our specialised clinical services.

What You’ll Be Doing

Your role will include a combination of specialised and General Practice nursing duties, with responsibilities allocated according to your registration, scope of practice, training and competency.

Your responsibilities may include:

Supporting patients through gastrointestinal and bowel health assessments

Clinical history taking and patient assessment

Performing specialised diagnostic testing following appropriate training and competency assessment

Supporting Bowel Diagnostics & Therapy clinical services

Supporting Women’s Health consultations, assessments and procedures

Assisting with or undertaking clinical examinations and procedures within your scope of practice and level of training

Providing patient education, preparation and follow-up

Coordinating care with GPs and other members of the clinical team

Treatment room procedures

Immunisations and health assessments

Chronic disease management and care planning

Wound care and procedural assistance

Preventative health initiatives

Recalls and patient follow-up

Maintaining accurate clinical documentation and meeting relevant clinical and compliance requirements

What We’re Looking For

Above all, we are looking for someone with a genuine interest in gastrointestinal and women’s health who is excited by the opportunity to develop additional clinical skills.

You will ideally have:

Current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse (EN) or Registered Nurse (RN)

Relevant nursing experience in a clinical or patient-facing environment

A strong interest in gastrointestinal, bowel and/or women’s health

A desire to develop specialised clinical and diagnostic skills

Confidence communicating with patients about sensitive health concerns

A professional and compassionate approach to patient care

Willingness to undertake additional education, training and competency assessment

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work both independently within your scope of practice and collaboratively within a healthcare team

Proficiency with clinical software and electronic medical records, or the ability to learn new systems quickly

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

A commitment to ongoing professional development

Previous General Practice nursing experience is advantageous but is not essential.

Experience or a particular interest in areas such as gastroenterology, colorectal health, women’s health, sexual and reproductive health, continence, primary care or preventative health would also be highly regarded.

Training & Development

You don’t need to arrive with experience in every aspect of the role.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to undertake additional education, clinical training and certification through Montier Health and our partnered medical education providers.

We are particularly interested in nurses who want to expand their scope, develop specialised clinical capabilities and build a longer-term career in gastrointestinal and/or women’s health.

For Registered Nurses interested in further clinical progression, there may also be opportunities to develop toward advanced practice and future Nurse Practitioner pathways.

Why Join Montier Health?

- A genuinely varied role across BDT, Women’s Health and General Practice
- Opportunity to develop specialised gastrointestinal and women’s health skills
- Structured education, training and competency development
- Modern, well-equipped clinical environments
- Supportive clinical leadership and established systems
- Positive and collaborative team culture
- Exposure to specialised patient care pathways
- Opportunities for longer-term clinical and career progression

Join Our Team

If you are an Enrolled Nurse or Registered Nurse who is looking for something beyond a traditional nursing role and has a genuine interest in gastrointestinal and women’s health, we would love to hear from you.

You may already have experience in these areas, or you may be looking for the opportunity to develop it. Either way, we are looking for someone who brings clinical confidence, curiosity, compassion and a willingness to learn.
