An opportunity has become available for a Project Management Accountant to support the financial performance of a significant project portfolio. Working closely with finance and operational stakeholders, your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting month-end processes including accruals, journals, reconciliations and financial analysis
- Preparing project budgets, forecasts and cash flow forecasts
- Analysing project performance across capex, opex, labour and other project costs
- Preparing financial reports, dashboards, commentary and insights for key stakeholders
- Supporting project cost control and investigating variances and transactional anomalies
- Assisting with asset capitalisation and project accounting requirements
- Supporting systems, process improvements and current finance initiatives
- Partnering with stakeholders across Finance and the wider business
- Identifying opportunities to improve reporting processes, controls and data integrity
- Supporting ad hoc financial and commercial analysis
To be successful in this role, you will be CA/CPA qualified with approximately 5 years’ experience across management accounting, financial accounting or project finance. You will ideally have exposure to infrastructure, construction, engineering or another project-based environment, with strong experience across budgeting, forecasting, project cost analysis and capex/opex reporting. You will be analytical, commercially minded and confident working with a range of stakeholders.
