About the Role - The Project Manager will be accountable for ensuring the successful management and delivery of high value, highly complex business systems projects focussing on solution design, delivery and implementation. This will require consultation and coordination with all stakeholders and subject matter experts to implement business requirements and priorities to deliver solutions which achieve agreed business outcomes.
Essentials
- 5 to 10 years of experience in named project management roles.
- High level leadership, interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to take a lead role across business, vendor and project stakeholders.
- High level project management skills, knowledge and experience in project management methodologies, techniques and frameworks,
with emphasis on solid project planning and control, risk and issue management.
- Demonstrated track record in providing leadership in matters of governance and probity, strategic and business planning, resolving complex risks and issues and the successful delivery of agreed business priorities and objectives.
- Excellent liaison skills in particular the ability to negotiate with people across business areas, functions and the organisation with a focus on achieving high-quality outcomes.
- Proven ability to effectively support change management to integrate new ICT capabilities with organisational transformation needs.
- Highly skilled in the use of Microsoft Visio and the usual office tools such as Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Outlook (e-mail), proficient in the use of JIRA and SharePoint or ability to quickly acquire.
- Experience identifying and analysing complex legislative and / or regulatory requirements applicable to the relevant industry/work environment and their processes.
Desirables
- Experience working within a large, complex and high-profile ICT project/program environment.
- Demonstrated understanding of IT Service Management framework.
- Experience in technical concepts including system analysis, design, integration and associated interfaces.
- Experience working in a government environment with preference in the policing and/or emergency services sectors.
