Project Manager – Water & Infrastructure

Build your project management career in water and infrastructure An established Australian engineering and project delivery business is seeking an ambitious Project Manager with approximately 1–2 years' experience to join its growing team in the Newcastle/Hunter region.

This is an excellent prospect for an early-career Project Manager who wants to develop quickly through exposure to a diverse portfolio of water, infrastructure, energy and industrial projects.

Rather than being assigned to a single project, you'll work across multiple projects and different areas of the business, gaining hands‑on experience in the complete project lifecycle—from initial planning and procurement through engineering, construction, commissioning and final handover.

You'll work alongside experienced Project Managers, engineers and senior management, with increasing responsibility as your capability develops.

The Role





Working as part of the project delivery team, your responsibilities will include:

- Coordinating projects from award through to completion and handover
- Managing smaller projects and defined work packages, with support from senior Project Managers
- Coordinating engineering, procurement, suppliers, subcontractors and site activities
- Monitoring project schedules, budgets, costs and deliverables
- Assisting with project forecasting and cost-to-complete reporting
- Managing procurement packages and following up suppliers to maintain delivery schedules
- Liaising directly with clients, contractors, engineers and suppliers
- Coordinating drawings, technical submissions, RFIs and approvals
- Attending project and client meetings and driving actions through to completion
- Identifying and managing project risks, delays and com
