Gee Transport Services is seeking an experienced Motor Mechanic to join our workshop in Morwell. This is a full-time position where you will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, diagnosing and repairing a variety of motor vehicles to the highest standards. As a Motor Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our fleet operates safely and efficiently, directly contributing to the reliability and reputation of our transport services. This hands‑on role offers the opportunity to work with diverse vehicles and modern diagnostic equipment in a professional workshop setting.

Key responsibilities

- Perform routine servicing and maintenance on motor vehicles including oil changes, filter replacements, fluid top-ups and inspections
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using appropriate diagnostic tools and equipment
- Repair and replace faulty components including engines, transmissions, suspension systems, brakes and electrical systems
- Conduct vehicle safety inspections and identify potential issues before they become major problems




- Maintain accurate service records and documentation for all work completed
- Adhere to all workshop safety procedures, regulations and company policies
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and drivers regarding vehicle status and repair requirements
- Maintain a clean and organized workshop environment
- Assist in training and mentoring junior workshop staff where applicable

What we're looking for

- Proven experience in vehicle servicing, maintenance and repair across a range of vehicle types
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems including engines, transmissions, suspension, brakes and electrical systems
- Competency in using mechanical tools, diagnostic equipment and workshop machinery
- Understanding of relevant safety standards and workshop regulations
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Reliability and commitment to delivering quality workmanship
- Current driver's licence
- Experience with Mercedes Benz Sprinters and Ford Transit Vans is advantageous
