We are seeking a dedicated Property Inspection professional to join QIA Group Pty Ltd on a contract basis. This role is located in Gold Coast and Brisbane areas and plays a critical part in ensuring that Strata properties meet fire and safety requirements and also comply with general Body Corporate Maintenance Standards. As a Fire, Safety, Asbestos, Valuation and Sinking Fund Inspector, you will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections, identifying potential hazards, and providing recommendations to assist occupants in the maintenance of their assets. This position is essential to our commitment to maintaining the highest standards of maintenance in Strata Properties.

What you'll be doing

Conducting fire, safety and maintenance inspections of residential, commercial, and industrial properties in accordance with relevant Australian standards and regulations

Identifying risks, maintenance issues and non-compliance issues during property assessments

Documenting inspection findings and submitting inspection documentation with photographic evidence and recommendations for remediation

Liaising with strata managers, owners, and residents to source relevant information for ongoing care of properties

Verifying audit paperwork for various fire safety systems, including fire alarms, sprinkler systems, emergency exits, and evacuation procedures

Assessing building finishes for ongoing maintenance requirements

Maintaining accurate records of all inspections, and follow-up communications

Providing advice on required improvements and compliance strategies

What we're looking for

Job would be well suited to an inspector with experience in fire maintenance contract work, evacuation training, Strata Compliance reporting, general building or trade work

Experience conducting fire,



safety and maintenance inspections across diverse property types

Knowledge of Australian Building Standards and relevant fire safety legislation

Proficiency in identifying hazards, egress routes, structural integrity issues, safety concerns and general building maintenance issues

Excellent written communication skills with the ability to prepare explicit, professional inspection reports

Attention to detail and a methodical approach to conducting thorough property assessments

Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation for site visits throughout the region

Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills when engaging with property stakeholders

Familiarity with Site Digital collection methods - software, ipads, etc
