Odyssey House NSW’s trauma-informed services set us apart as a leader in the support service space for alcohol and other drugs dependency. Our teams help clients to meet their goals and address underlying trauma and mental health issues, while also developing new skills to improve all aspects of their lives.
We provide a diverse range of services to individuals, families and community education. Our services include withdrawal services; one-on-one assessment and treatment by psychologists and counsellors; group therapy; residential rehabilitation; and free education at Odyssey College.

Find us at our head office in Redfern and at our network of residential rehabilitation and community sites which span across Greater Sydney, the Southern Highlands and Blue Mountains.
- We're seeking a Social Worker to provide specialised support to our Community Programs clients
- Comprehensive assessment, counselling and one-to-one therapeutic support
- Facilitate treatment and psycho-education groups
- Provide internal consultation and education to the staff team on mental health and wellbeing topics
- Liaise with GPs, specialists and external agencies to support continuity of care
- Delivered within our Recovery Oriented Model of Care
- Works across the Sydney North region (Hornsby, Northern Beaches and Ryde) as the service grows
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline, with current professional registration
- Significant experience supporting people with AOD, mental distress and/or trauma related needs
- Experience in one-to-one support, counselling and group facilitation
- Emotional resilience and the ability to stay calm while supporting clients in high emotion situations
- Computer literacy including MS Office and client management systems, with strong written and report writing skills
