Psychologist – Psych Experts About the role
Psych Experts is an established psychology practice located within the Greater Western Sydney region, seeking a compassionate and skilled Psychologist to join our team.
This position is available on a part-time or casual basis, with flexibility to suit the successful applicant. Psych Experts provides psychological services to clients presenting with a diverse range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, adjustment difficulties, trauma, PTSD, and other psychological presentations.
The successful applicant will be responsible for conducting psychological assessments, developing individualised treatment plans, providing evidence-based psychological interventions, maintaining clinical documentation, and preparing professional reports and correspondence.

Responsibilities and duties
- Provide individual psychological and therapeutic sessions to referred clients using evidence-based interventions.
- Conduct psychological assessments and develop tailored, individualised treatment plans based on client needs and current evidence.
- Develop and provide appropriate therapeutic resources, handouts, and homework activities to support clients between sessions.
- Complete electronic clinical notes, treatment plans, assessments,
and reports to an appropriate professional standard and in accordance with the APS Code of Ethics and relevant professional requirements.
- Prepare professional letters and correspondence for GPs, psychiatrists, allied health professionals, insurers, government agencies, and other relevant external services to support continuity of care.
- Participate in case conferences and multidisciplinary discussions where required.
- Maintain appropriate communication with referring practitioners and other members of the client’s treating team.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records in accordance with skilled, ethical, and organisational requirements.
- Engage in ongoing professional development in accordance with AHPRA registration requirements.
- Maintain appropriate skilled boundaries, confidentiality, and ethical standards in all clinical work.
Requirements To be considered for this position, applicants should address the following selection criteria:
- Registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia/AHPRA.
- SIRA approval or willingness to obtain SIRA approval.
- Medicare provider number or willingness to obtain one.
- Demonstrated experience in psychological assessment, evidence-based psychological intervention,
and case management for individuals experiencing mental health concerns.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement outcome-focused, individualised treatment plans using evidence-based and recovery-oriented approaches.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary care team, including psychologists, allied health professionals, psychiatrists, GPs, insurers, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare professional, accurate, and timely reports and correspondence.
- Ability to maintain comprehensive and up-to-date clinical records in accordance with professional and practice documentation standards.
- Commitment to maintaining professional development and ongoing clinical competency.

Pay: $85,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
