Campbelltown City Council's Home Support Program (HSP) is seeking friendly, reliable volunteers to assist older community members by providing transport to medical or personal appointments and/or supporting them with their local shopping.
About the Program
The Commonwealth Home Support Program (HSP), funded by the Australian Government Department of Health, provides entry-level services that help older people remain independent and living safely in their own homes and communities.
Volunteer Responsibilities
• Drive clients to local medical and personal appointments.
• Transport clients to and from local shops and provide assistance while they shop.
• Offer friendly, respectful and reliable support to older community members.
Volunteers can contribute on any weekday (Monday to Friday) between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm, with shifts arranged around individual availability.
Volunteers may use their own vehicle (with mileage reimbursement) or a Council pool vehicle. Training and ongoing support are provided. This is a rewarding prospect to make a genuine difference in your local community.
