Desirable Qualifications and Experience

- Bachelor, Diploma or Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.

- Currently working towards a Bachelor, Diploma or Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.

- Willingness to enrol and study towards an Early Childhood Education and Care qualification.

- Current First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications or willingness to obtain.

- Respect for and valuing children's voices and participation.

- An understanding of, or willingness to learn about, children's developmental needs and wellbeing.

- The ability to maintain appropriate professional boundaries with children, families and colleagues.

- An understanding of culturally safe, inclusive and respectful practices.

- Knowledge of, or willingness to learn about, child protection and mandatory reporting obligations.

- A commitment to creating safe, supportive and inclusive environments where children feel respected, valued and protected.

Salary & Conditions

The salary is above Award rates and is based on qualifications and experience.

Pre-Employment Requirements

The successful applicant will be required to satisfactorily complete relevant pre-employment checks, which may include:

- A valid NSW Working With Children Check (WWCC) clearance or the ability to obtain one prior to commencement.

- Verification of qualifications and licences.

- Reference checks, including child-related employment references where applicable.

- National Criminal History Check.

- Identification and right-to-work verification.

Applicants may be asked to provide examples of how they have supported children's safety, wellbeing and development in previous employment, volunteer work, study placements or community activities.
