The Gate Bar and Bistro have an exciting opportunity for a fresh-faced Cook / Commi Chef to join our well-established Kitchen Team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of produce, culinary techniques and kitchen equipment. Being a team player that can perform under pressure and is prepared to learn.

About You:

- Ability to maintain a consistency in food quality and presentation

- Effective communication skills with a growth mindset to continually learn and improve.

- Be close to having obtained or already have a trade qualification or equivalent experience

Responsibilities:

- Follow food handling procedures, ensuring temperature and hygiene control.

- Quality control of raw and cooked food products.

- Must be able to work weekends and nights.

- Knowledge of food safety guidelines

- Ability to maintain consistent standards at all times.

- Ability to handle high volume production.
