Maven Dental Cairns City is looking for a Casual Receptionist to join our friendly front desk team. This casual position offers regular shifts with the opportunity to work 30+ hours per week, depending on operational requirements and availability. This is a great chance for someone who enjoys reception work, connecting with patients, and being part of a supportive dental team.

You’ll play an important role in creating a welcoming environment while supporting the smooth day-to-day operations of our practice.

As our Dental Receptionist, you’ll be the welcoming face of our practice, creating a positive patient experience while working closely with our clinical and administration teams to keep our practice running smoothly.

Your responsibilities will include: Welcoming and assisting patients with a warm, professional demeanor

Scheduling appointments and managing the appointment book efficiently

Handling patient records with accuracy and confidentiality

Coordinating with the dental team to ensure seamless patient care

Managing patient inquiries both in person and over the phone

There will be an aspect of dental assisting, on an ad hoc basis as needed.

Qualifications To succeed in this role, you will: Have a minimum of 3 years dental assisting or reception experience, or hold a Certificate III in Dental Assisting

Bring a friendly and approachable personality with a genuine desire to help others





Have strong communication and organisational skills with the ability to multitask

Be confident using computer systems and administrative software (experience with D4W is an advantage)

Be reliable, adaptable, and comfortable working in a busy clinical environment
