Regional Business Development Manager

NSW or VIC or QLD | State-based, regional travel | Reports to the National Manager, Business Development

Rentco Transport Equipment Rentals is one of Australia's largest heavy commercial rental and leasing businesses and we're growing fast. This is a frontline new business role: your job is to find, pursue and win new-to-Rentco customers in your state, building rental and leasing revenue from the ground up.

You'll work closely with our Pricing & Leasing team to shape sharp, credible proposals, and with the regional Branch network to make sure every new customer you bring on is set up to thrive from day one.

What You'll Be Doing

- Identifying, qualifying and pursuing recent-to-Rentco opportunities across target segments like Transport, Logistics, Warehousing, Construction, Local Government and more - you'll drive growth across multiple asset classes in your state / region.
- Building and maintaining an accurate, well-qualified pipeline, reported regularly to the National Manager, Business Development, General Manager Sales, and Chief Commercial Officer.
- Developing compelling commercial proposals with Pricing & Leasing, and negotiating terms within your delegated authority.
- Partnering with the Rentco Branch network on smooth onboarding, so new accounts are set up for long-term success.
- Keeping a clear line between new logo pursuits and existing Rentco relationships, working with Regional Sales to maximise outcomes
- Building strong knowledge of the competitive landscape and market conditions in your state.

What You'll Bring

- New business sales experience,



ideally in fleet management, transport, logistics, equipment rental or asset finance/leasing. Heavy commercial vehicle knowledge across key segments will be highly regarded. You're perceived a specialist 'go to' in your field.
- Connections across Transport, Logistics, Warehousing, Construction, Mining, Manufacturing, and other segment will all be well regarded If you know and love light and heavy assets, you’re in good company.
- Strong prospecting, negotiation and proposal skills.
- Sound commercial acumen, comfortable with leasing structures and pricing frameworks.
- A self-starter who's target-driven and comfortable operating autonomously in the field.
- Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel within your state.
