About the Role
We're seeking empathetic and resilient Support Specialists to work with individuals experiencing complex mental health needs, challenging behaviours, and/or cognitive decline.
- Personal care & domestic assistance
- Community access & transport
- Supporting person-centred plans
- Documentation & progress notes
- Building strong relationships with participants & families
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate within a supportive team
- Promote independent living skills
- Foster social connections
- Deliver creative, compassionate support
- Complete shift notes & incident reports
- Provide direct support with daily living activities
- Maintain positive relationships with stakeholders
What You’ll Need
- Minimum 6 months of disability support experience
- Experience in any area of disability support is acceptable for this role
- NDIS Worker Screening Check or valid exemption
- Current First Aid & CPR certification
- First Aid and CPR certifications must be current and valid at the time of application
- Reliable vehicle (travel reimbursed)
- Valid work visa or Australian citizenship/permanent residency
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
- Medication administration training (or willingness to obtain)
- Manual handling training (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong work ethic & team spirit
- Understanding of NDIS confidentiality & documentation standards
- Flexibility for 24/7 care including weekends, sleepovers & active nights
- Experience supporting neurodiverse and psychosocial disabilities
