This permanent, full-time position supports our intimate 19-bed Residential Aged Care facility in Kandos.

About the Role

- Lead all aspects of food operations, including food safety, preparation, and service.
- Prepare and serve nutritious, wholesome, and wide-ranging meals.
- Cater to special and modified diets as required (including low salt, diabetic, soft, and pureed textures).
- Manage inventory, including ordering or overseeing the ordering of food supplies.
- Cater for special events and facility functions.
- Maintain strict cost controls regarding food preparation and portioning.
- Collaborate with the Facility Manager to constantly refine and elevate food service standards.

About You

- Full Australian Working Rights: You must possess full, unrestricted working rights within Australia. Please note: Strictly no visa sponsorship is available for this position.
- Strong Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills to ensure teamwork and an outstanding resident experience.
- Leadership Track Record: The ability to coordinate kitchen operations efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Specialized Experience: Proven experience in menu planning and catering to modified dietary needs.
- Compliance Focus: Sound knowledge of Food Handling Legislation, including HACCP requirements.
- Qualifications: Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery, alongside a current Food Safety Certification.
