Your Role:

As a Diploma Qualified Educator and Room Leader at Bayside Early Learners, you will play a key role in creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment where children are encouraged to learn, explore, and thrive.

You will be responsible for delivering high-quality care and education in accordance with the National Quality Framework (NQF), the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), and our centre's policies and procedures. Working collaboratively with fellow educators and our leadership team, you will contribute to the planning and implementation of meaningful learning experiences that reflect each child's individual interests, strengths, and developmental needs.

A core part of this role is being actively engaged with children throughout the day. We are looking for educators who genuinely enjoy interacting with children through play, conversations, learning experiences, and daily routines—not simply supervising from a distance. You will provide consistent active supervision, remaining alert, positioning yourself effectively, anticipating potential risks, and creating opportunities that support children's learning, confidence, and wellbeing.

As a Room Leader, you will lead by example, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to the educators within your room. You will help foster a positive team culture, delegate responsibilities where appropriate, model best practice, and work closely with the Centre Leadership Team to ensure your room consistently operates to the highest standards of care, education, safety, and compliance.

Building strong, trusting relationships with children and their families is fundamental to this role. You will take the time to get to know each child as an individual, supporting their unique interests, strengths, and developmental journey, while maintaining open, respectful, and professional communication with families. By developing genuine partnerships with parents and caregivers, you will help create a welcoming environment where families feel informed, valued, and confident in the care and education they receive.

We are looking for educators who are passionate about early childhood education, demonstrate initiative, communicate professionally, and take pride in maintaining high standards across every aspect of their role. This includes educational programming and documentation, maintaining an engaging learning setting, supporting compliance with the National Quality Standards,



and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.

About You:

You are a passionate and dedicated early childhood professional who genuinely cares about children's learning, development, safety, and wellbeing. You take pride in your work, enjoy being actively involved with children throughout the day, and strive to create positive experiences that help every child feel secure, valued, and supported.

You will bring:

- A Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care.

- A genuine passion for early childhood education and a commitment to making a positive difference in children's lives.

- The ability to build strong, trusting relationships with children, families, and colleagues through respectful, open, and professional communication.

- A sound understanding of the National Quality Framework (NQF), National Quality Standards (NQS), Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), and the importance of maintaining compliance in everyday practice.

- A strong understanding of active supervision, child protection, child safety, and your responsibility to identify and minimise potential risks.

- The ability to actively engage with children through play, conversations, routines, and intentional teaching, creating meaningful learning opportunities throughout the day.

- Strong leadership skills, or the ability to confidently lead by example, mentor fellow educators, and contribute to a positive, respectful, and team-oriented team culture.

- Initiative, reliability, professionalism, and a strong work ethic, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

- Experience contributing to educational programs, observations, documentation, and learning environments that support children's individual interests and developmental outcomes.

- A commitment to continuous improvement, reflective practice, and maintaining the highest standards of care, education, and professionalism.
