Role Description The Research and Policy Analyst at Marítima del Caribe Dominicana is a part-time, remote role focused on supporting evidence-based decision-making and policy initiatives. The role involves conducting qualitative and quantitative research on maritime, trade, and regulatory topics, gathering data from internal records, public sources, and industry reports. The analyst will synthesize findings into explicit briefs, presentations, and policy recommendations for leadership and stakeholders.

Responsibilities include monitoring relevant legislation and regulations, assessing potential impacts on company operations, and contributing to the development and review of internal policies and procedures. The analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams, respond to ad hoc research requests, and maintain organized documentation and databases to ensure accurate and accessible policy information.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess strong Policy Development and Policy Research skills to design, evaluate,



and refine organizational policies and frameworks.

Candidates should possess advanced Analytical Skills and Research capabilities to collect, interpret, and present data and evidence-based insights.

Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills to draft clear reports, policy briefs, and presentations for diverse audiences.

Relevant academic background in public policy, political science, economics, law, international relations, or a related field.

Experience with data analysis tools or spreadsheets (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets); familiarity with statistical or research software is an advantage.

Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines with attention to detail.

Knowledge of maritime, trade, logistics, or regulatory sectors is beneficial; proficiency in Spanish and English is a strong plus.
