Help power life-changing cancer research, coordinate the lab operations that keep our discoveries moving.

Cancer research is a key strategic priority for Macquarie University and our Faculty of Medicine, Health and Human Sciences, underpinned by a 2025 plan to grow an integrated cancer care and research program. Here, you’ll play a pivotal operational role at the centre of a dynamic cancer research team led by Principal Investigator Professor Helen Rizos, working alongside postdoctoral fellows, research assistants and higher degree research students.

For us, dedicated operational support is essential to ensure continuity of research activity and the smooth day-to-day functioning of the laboratory and team. In this role you’ll coordinate the technical, operational and administrative activities of the research laboratory,



providing the reliable support that allows scientists to focus on what matters most which is delivering impactful cancer research.

About the Role

Reporting to our Deputy Dean, Research and Innovation, you will support the effective operation of the cancer research group by coordinating laboratory operations, research governance, financial administration and team communication.
