We are seeking experienced Resident Fitters / Mobile Plant Mechanics to support our Ipswich (North Tivoli) operations, providing hands‑on maintenance and breakdown support across our civil plant and equipment fleet. These roles are site‑based / region‑based positions, ideal for fitters who enjoy autonomy, responsibility and working directly with operational crews to keep equipment running.

- Contemporary, late‑model fleet — primarily Caterpillar plant and Kenworth trucks - Resident role, home most nights - Company Service Truck provided - Strong maintenance systems, Fleet Office, planned maintenance and service intervals - Hands‑on field role with real autonomy and trust - Stable, long‑term position with a respected Queensland contractor About the Role - Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing on mobile plant - Diagnose and repair mechanical,



hydraulic and basic electrical faults - Respond to breakdowns and urgent repairs to minimise downtime - Work independently across site and depot environments - Identify defects and emerging maintenance issues early - Complete work orders, inspections and maintenance records accurately - Follow VE Group safety systems, including task and machine risk assessments - Liaise closely with supervisors and operators to provide practical technical support This is a hands‑on field role — not a workshop‑only position.
