The Role

This is not your average retail job.

As a Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

- Appraising a wide range of items for loan or purchase (e.g., tools, electronics, musical instruments)
- Providing outstanding customer service and building customer relationships
- Selling retail items and managing stock
- Collaborating with your team to ensure smooth store operations
- Maintaining an engaging and professional retail environment

You will work across both the Penrith and South Windsor locations, so access to reliable transport is essential.

About You To be successful in this role, you will be:

- Customer-focused, with a passion for exceeding expectations

- Comfortable with negotiations and confident in communication

- Familiar with computers, tablets, and smartphones
- Eager to learn and retain new product knowledge
- Available to work across a 7-day roster, including weekends (essential)

Experience in gold and diamond appraisal is highly desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.

Skills & Experience





- Previous experience in retail, customer service, or sales preferred
- Strong negotiation and appraisal skills (or a willingness to learn)
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Computer literacy is essential
- Ability to adapt quickly and manage a variety of tasks

What We Offer

- Competitive hourly rate: Over $33/hour
- Sign-On Bonus: Up to $3,000 for successful applicants with prior pawnbroking experience (paid after probation period, based on experience level)
