Haymans Brisbane Airport is a leading electrical and data wholesale supplier located in the Brisbane Airport Precinct. Guided by the values of Service, Integrity and Reliability, Haymans serves a diverse range of electrical and data contractors, supplying to the aviation, mining, infrastructure, solar energy, medical, data communications and general commercial sectors.

With daily delivery services spanning the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Amberley and Brisbane CBD, the branch is the go-to trade partner for contractors and businesses across Southeast Queensland. The team operates Monday to Friday, 5:30am to 5:30pm, reflecting the early-start culture of the industries they serve.

The Opportunity

This is your opportunity to join a high-performing sales team at the front line of a fast-paced trade retail workplace. As our Trade Counter & Internal Sales All-rounder, your principal responsibility is serving our trade customers — both over the counter and by phone — ensuring they get the right products, the right advice, and the right service every time.

You’ll be responding to enquiries via phone and email, entering orders accurately, and following up to ensure deliveries reach the customer on time. Whether you’re on the phone or serving at the trade counter, your ability to build genuine rapport will set you apart.

Key Responsibilities

- Serve trade customers over the counter and via phone,



delivering a qualified and effective experience

- Respond to customer enquiries by phone and email, ensuring orders are entered accurately and promptly

- Follow up on orders to ensure timely delivery and proactively communicate with customers on order status

- Build and maintain strong relationships with our customers

- Work closely with the warehouse and purchasing teams to confirm product availability and coordinate deliveries

- Maintain accurate customer and order records within the business system

- Support the broader sales team to meet branch targets and service standards

- Assist with trade counter presentation and ensure a well-organised customer-facing area

About You

- Previous experience in electrical trade sales or as an electrician would be beneficial, but is not essential — your attitude and willingness to learn matter most

- A customer-first mentality with an excellent telephone manner and the ability to build genuine rapport, whether over the phone or face-to-face at the trade counter

- A strong work ethic and motivated self-starter who takes pride in their contribution to the team

- A willingness to learn and a genuine desire to contribute to team objectives

- Well-organised with strong attention to detail, particularly when processing orders

- Confident verbal and written communication skills

- Hold a current driver’s licence
