Applicants from the previous process IPS/TCH1000384 who were assessed as suitable are not required to reapply. We are seeking to establish a pool of Education Support Teachers for permanent and fixed‑term, full‑time and part‑time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year and up to the end of Term 2, 2027. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
The Role
As an Education Support Teacher at Rockingham Beach ESC, you will embrace our whole‑school vision of “Building brilliant futures for our families” and implement instructional programmes such as Talk 4 Writing, Read Write Inc., Zones of Regulation, PATHS, Protective Behaviours and Positive Behaviour Support. Experience in using explicit instruction strategies is highly desirable.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering effective instruction to support diverse learning styles in a mixed‑ability, multi‑age classroom.
- Managing classroom teams and collaborating with parents, therapists, and other professionals to meet students’ educational and care needs.
- Adapting teaching approaches to support students with special needs.
- Participating in ongoing professional development and engaging with the broader ESC community.
Eligibility
To work with us, you must:
- Hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration.
- Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or hold a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
- Apply for a WA Working with Children Check before you start.
- Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit before you start.
