We’re looking for a full time Rigid Truck Driver to join our team at Jackman Furniture Freighters in Croydon South, Victoria. This is a great opportunity to be a key part of our transport operations, delivering new furniture and other goods to customers across Melbourne’s metro and outer suburbs.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a rigid truck to transport furniture and freight
- Work with our warehouse team to load and unload items
- Perform manual handling of goods, including loading and unloading items on and off trucks and moving goods within warehouses
- Handle pickups and drop-offs at various locations
- Safely secure and handle furniture and freight during transport
- Follow traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies
- Provide excellent customer service to clients
What We’re Looking For
- A valid Australian Medium Rigid (MR) driver’s license or higher
- At least 2 years of experience driving rigid trucks
- Experience with, and willingness to perform, manual handling of goods
- Knowledge of safe loading, unloading, lifting, and handling practices
- Excellent driving skills and a strong safety-first mindset
- Ability to work efficiently and independently
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Physically capable of safely handling furniture and freight
Hours of Operation
- Monday to Thursday: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
- Friday: 7:00 AM - 1:00 PM
- Occasional paid overtime
