About the Client:
Western Work Force is currently partnering with an established engineering and construction contractor delivering major projects across the Western Australian resources sector.
Due to an immediate requirement on a major BHP mining infrastructure project near Newman, we are seeking 2–3 experienced Electrical Supervisors to join the project team.

Role Overview:
This is an initial 3-month FIFO assignment on a 2:1 roster, with the potential to transition onto further projects for strong performers.
You will be supervising electrical construction works associated with a new primary crusher and approximately 9km of overland conveyor infrastructure.
Project Details:
- FIFO into Newman
- 2:1 roster
- ASAP start
- Initial 3-month duration
- 11–12 hour days
- Casual rate around $110/hour flat
- Alternatively, $170k–$175k base + 35% uplift on a fixed-term contract
- Potential ongoing opportunities following project completion
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise electrical construction crews across multiple work fronts
- Oversee installation of electrical cabling, cable tray and conduits
- Coordinate mounting, bracketry and associated electrical infrastructure
- Supervise cable terminations into junction boxes and field devices
- Oversee installation of Local Control Stations and mounting frames
- Coordinate daily labour, materials and construction activities
- Ensure works are completed safely and in accordance with project specifications
- Liaise with construction management, other disciplines and site stakeholders
Requirements:
To be considered, you must have:
- Minimum 1–2 years' experience as an Electrical Supervisor within mining, construction or heavy industry
- Completed S26 units and DMIRS examination – mandatory
- Electrical trade qualification
- Current WA Electrical Licence
- Australian working rights
- Current Driver's Licence
- White Card
- First Aid – within 3 years
- LVR/CPR – within 12 months
- Working at Heights – within 5 years
- Confined Space Entry – within 5 years
- Gas Test Atmospheres – within 5 years
- Basic Fire – within 5 years
BHP and/or CPB inductions will be highly regarded and may significantly reduce mobilisation time.
