We're on the hunt for a senior communications leader to join our PR Accounts team in Melbourne, working across a mix of consumer clients. This is an alt/shift/ leadership role, responsible for the delivery of strong client partnerships and effective campaigns, while driving the alt/shift/ brand forward by fostering a positive team environment that retains and attracts great talent. You'll drive new business alongside the General Manager and Managing director, and be just as inspired by growing our client base as you are by leading a high-performing team.

No day is the same at alt/shift, however regular responsibilities will include: People & Culture

Champion a positive internal culture, ensuring the team understands alt/shift/'s values and what's expected of them

Support the General Manager in creating an exceptional working environment

Oversee workflow and capacity planning across the team

Ensure performance reviews are conducted on time and professionally, building individual development plans based on performance and potential





Provide regular counsel, coaching and clear, fair feedback to grow your team

Manage the Melbourne PR with support from the management team, including direct line management of 2 individuals. Fostering an empowering and safe work environment Clients

Develop and maintain close, senior client relationships built on a genuine business partnership approach

Run accounts with a clear understanding of both businesses' goals, budgets and timings

Offer strategic recommendations and lead the development of campaign strategy

Oversee the planning, budgeting and execution of multiple projects at once

Collaborate with internal teams (creative, strategy, social) to ensure successful campaign execution

Analyse campaign performance, provide insights and recommend adjustments to improve outcomes

Be the key point of contact for clients on any account or project issues

Lead a team of skilled, passionate PR people capable of running day-to-day client business and spotting new opportunities

Act as a thought leader for alt/shift/ across existing clients and the agency Financials

Maintain forecasts for your client group, working with the management team to ensure accuracy

Identify and act on growth opportunities and gaps within existing and prospective clients, including new business from within existing accounts

Lead new business responses, from strategy and approach through to the final presentation

Ensure annual and monthly revenue targets are met and managed





Ensure clear scopes of work are developed and agreed with clients

Manage cost estimate processes and resolve client queries on invoicing, estimates and financials

Pending your experience, you are a Group Account Director or Senior Account Director, who will bring seasoned PR leadership, senior client relationships and a proven ability to build and grow high-performing teams. You're a strategic thinker with the gravitas to counsel clients at the most senior level, and a genuine passion for mentoring the next generation of PR talent.

If you're an accomplished PR leader with a proven track record of winning and growing business, a problem solver and a people-first manager who delivers exceptional results for clients and teams, we'd love to hear from you. Required skill set/experience:

7-9 years' agency or discipline-related experience

Proven track record winning and growing business

Industry expertise and credentials across consumer/FMCG/travel Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, Business or a related field

Robust strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities

Exceptional communication, presentation and interpersonal skills

Able to identify clients' business issues and proactively assist in their resolution

Able to manage time professionally

Able to make a positive contribution to the agency's culture
