We are partnering with a leading ASX 150 organisation to appoint a Security Architect – IAM & GRC for their major enterprise-wide SAP S/4HANA transformation program.

Location: North Sydney

Hybrid: 2–3 days in the office per week

Day Rate: $1,000–$1,400 including super depending on experience

Contract: 12 months with a strong likelihood of extension

This is a pivotal architecture role within a large-scale SAP transformation, responsible for defining, governing and delivering the end-to-end security architecture across a complex SAP and non-SAP technology landscape.

You'll own the Identity & Access Management (IAM), Identity Governance & Administration (IAG/GRC) and cloud identity architecture, ensuring security solutions are scalable, compliant, aligned to enterprise risk frameworks, and support secure-by-design delivery across the program.

The Prospect

Working closely with Enterprise Architecture, Cyber Security, SAP, System Integrators and delivery teams, you will define the security strategy that underpins the entire transformation program.

You'll establish security standards, architecture patterns and governance, oversee identity and access design, and ensure SAP and non-SAP platforms are delivered with robust security controls, compliant access models and enterprise-grade governance from design through to go-live and transition to BAU.

Key Responsibilities

- Own the end-to-end Security Architecture across SAP and non-SAP platforms.
- Define the enterprise Identity & Access Management strategy, including Joiner, Mover, Leaver (JML) processes, provisioning, deprovisioning and access governance.




- Lead the design of SAP roles, authorisations and access models, ensuring alignment with business processes, Segregation of Duties (SoD) and least privilege principles.
- Define and govern SAP IAG/GRC Access Control, SoD frameworks, privileged access and emergency access processes.
- Design identity integration with enterprise identity providers such as Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), including Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and identity provisioning.
- Define security architecture across SAP BTP, SAP Cloud Identity Services (IAS/IPS) and cloud applications.
- Review Solution Designs, Technical Designs and Architecture artefacts to ensure security requirements are embedded throughout design, build, testing and deployment.
- Support audit, compliance and assurance activities, including security governance, KPI reporting, user provisioning and cutover readiness.
- Provide architectural oversight throughout SIT, UAT, cutover, hypercare and transition to BAU.

About You

- Proven experience as a Security Architect, IAM Architect, Identity Architect or Enterprise Security Architect on large-scale SAP transformation programs.
- Extensive experience delivering Identity & Access Management (IAM),



Identity Governance & Administration (IAG/GRC) and SAP security architecture across SAP and non-SAP environments.
- Strong experience implementing SAP IAG/GRC Access Control, Segregation of Duties (SoD) frameworks and SAP role & authorisation design.
- Experience integrating SAP with enterprise identity platforms such as Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and implementing SSO, MFA and identity provisioning strategies.
- Strong understanding of SAP Cloud Identity Services (IAS/IPS), SAP BTP security and enterprise cloud security architecture.
- Experience developing security standards, governance frameworks and secure-by-design architecture principles.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at both strategic and delivery levels and communicate effectively with technical teams, executives and governance forums.
- SAP Security, GRC or Cloud Identity certifications would be highly regarded.
