Casual Venue Security Officers / Crowd Controllers — Toowoomba

Nexus Protection Group is a Toowoomba based security firm delivering professional security services across the Darling Downs. We're expanding our casual venue team and looking for reliable, switched on operators to work licensed premises, events and functions across Toowoomba and surrounds.

The role

You'll be the face of our clients' venues — managing entry, monitoring patron behaviour, de-escalating issues before they escalate, and keeping staff and patrons safe. Shifts are predominantly Thursday to Saturday nights, with additional event and function work available.

Day to day you'll

- Conduct entry control, ID checks and capacity monitoring

- Monitor crowds and patron conduct, intervening early and professionally

- De-escalate conflict and manage removals lawfully and safely

- Liaise with venue management, fellow officers and QPS when required

- Maintain accurate incident records and complete shift reporting

What you'll need

- Current Queensland Security Provider Licence:



Crowd Controller category (essential)

- Current RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) competency (preffered)

- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- A calm, qualified presence under pressure

- Availability across Friday and Saturday nights

- Reliable transport and a smartphone

Highly regarded

- First Aid & CPR certificate (HLTAID011)

- Prior licensed venue or events experience

- Flexibility for weekday and daytime guarding shifts
