Our client is a specialist independent school supporting young people aged 11-16 with a range of additional needs, including Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), communication difficulties, and cognition and learning challenges.

The Role
We are seeking a passionate, adaptable, and committed SEN Teacher to join a dedicated specialist team in Burnley.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced SEN practitioner who is confident delivering a broad and differentiated curriculum to KS3 and KS4 pupils with a wide range of additional needs.
The successful candidate will play a key role in creating engaging learning experiences that support academic progress alongside social, emotional, and personal development.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver creative, engaging, and differentiated lessons across core and foundation subjects for KS3 and KS4 pupils
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet a range of SEN needs and learning abilities
- Develop and implement personalised learning plans and EHCP targets
- Create a safe, structured, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
- Monitor, assess, and report on pupil progress and achievement
- Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs, therapists, and external profes
