Role Description The Senior Account Executive / Account Director is a full-time, on-site role based in Adelaide. This position is responsible for managing a portfolio of corporate and commercial clients, leading all aspects of their insurance and risk advisory needs from initial assessment through to placement and ongoing review. Day-to-day activities include conducting risk assessments, structuring insurance programs, preparing proposals, negotiating terms with insurers, and ensuring timely renewals and policy changes.

The role also involves responding to client queries, coordinating claims support, maintaining accurate documentation, and identifying opportunities to enhance coverage or deliver additional advisory services. The successful candidate will collaborate with internal colleagues and external partners, contribute to business development initiatives,



and uphold Pillar Brokerage’s commitment to high-quality, client-focused service.

Qualifications

- Robust client relationship management skills, including the ability to build trust, understand complex business needs, and communicate clearly with stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated experience in commercial insurance broking or risk advisory, ideally within property, construction, professional services, medical, or consulting sectors.
- Proficiency in analysing risk exposures, structuring insurance programs, and preparing qualified proposals and reports.
- Solid negotiation and stakeholder engagement abilities, with experience working directly with insurers and underwriters.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and policy administration.
- Comfort with using insurance broking systems, CRM platforms, and standard office software to manage client information and workflows.
- Relevant professional qualifications in insurance, risk management, business, or a related field; ANZIIF or similar accreditation is highly regarded.
- Proactive mindset, sound commercial judgment, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in an on-site team environment.
