About You Educational Qualifications: Degree in accounting, finance, or a closely related field.
Professional Certification: Holding a CPA or CA qualification is crucial.
Experience Requirement: At least 5 to 7 years of professional experience in public accounting practice.
Tax Knowledge: In-depth understanding of Australian tax legislation and compliance standards.
Skill Set: Outstanding analytical, organisational, and communication abilities.
Client Relationship Management: Established track record in managing client relations and providing strategic counsel.
Responsibilities Client-Facing Skills: Capable of identifying opportunities and fostering growth for clients.
Tax Preparation: Expertise in preparing tax returns, financial statements, and tax documentation for both individuals and companies, including Payroll, Reconciliations, CGT, GST, BAS, and IAS.
Software Proficiency: Proficient in using Xero and MYOB
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Tax Planning: Develop and implement effective tax planning strategies for corporate clients to optimise their tax positions.
Client Advisory: Advise clients on complex tax matters, including compliance, risk management, and business structuring.
Legislative Awareness:
Stay informed about changes in tax legislation and ensure clients are aware of relevant impacts on their businesses.
Primary Contact: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding strategic tax planning and advisory services.
Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with corporate clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
Compliance and Review: Prepare and review statutory financials and tax compliance documents.
Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
