We are seeking an organised, proactive and safety-focused Office Manager to oversee the day-to-day operation of a busy construction site office.
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will coordinate site administration, worker inductions, subcontractor compliance and safety documentation. You will also support onsite administrative personnel and work closely with site supervisors to ensure records are accurate, systems are maintained and issues are resolved promptly.
This role suits an experienced office professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced site workplace and is confident dealing with subcontractors, workers, supervisors and project leadership.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations, resources and service standards of the site office.
- Coordinate worker and subcontractor inductions and onboarding.
- Administer BuildPass and other project systems.
- Maintain accurate safety, compliance, insurance, liability and subcontractor records.
- Track compliance documentation and elevate outstanding or non-compliant matters.
- Support onsite personnel with registrations, documentation and system troubleshooting.
- Monitor site sign-ons, diaries, defect processing and other digital requirements.
- Work with the OH&S; Site Supervisor to resolve safety and compliance matters.
- Assist with the coordination and recording of defects, rework and site issues.
- Ensure site safety and compliance matters are logged, monitored and closed out.
- Coordinate office personnel, resources, facilities and equipment.
- Communicate with subcontractors, workers and stakeholders in a professional and practical manner.
- Identify potential operational problems early and recommend improvements to systems and processes.
About you
You will bring:
- Administrative experience, preferably in relatable fields.
- Excellent organisational, time-management and communication skills.
- Confidence working with a variety of stakeholders.
- Experience with Microsoft Office and digital safety, training or record-management systems.
- Familiarity maintaining safety and compliance documentation.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and follow issues through to completion.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach and willingness to learn.
- An attitude and approach that drives connection.
Qualifications and mandatory requirements
- Year 12 or equivalent.
- Current Construction Industry Induction Card (White Card).
- First aid or CPR certification is desirable.
- Relevant study or training in occupational health and safety, construction law, quality standards, structural principles or supervision methods will be highly regarded.
The starting salary is $80,000 per annum plus superannuation.
