Are you ready to be part of a company that thrives on innovation and thinking outside the box? TasControls is expanding our team and seeking a BMS Technician or Trainee for an exciting role in Hobart.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled service and updates for BMS and Building Automation.
- Configure and program BMS/HVAC control systems.
- Conduct routine maintenance in specific regions to improve energy efficiency.
- Engage in a diverse role including commissioning and small project works.
- Liaise with clients to recommend upgrades, integrations, and building efficiency improvements.
- Produce accurate service reports.
- Respond to client service requests, programming, and point-to-point scheduling.
- Build and support relationships with existing and current customers.
- Investigate and diagnose faults.
- Provide technical support and commissioning reports as required.
Essential Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:
The following are advantageous but not mandatory:
- Proven experience in programming and commissioning any form of control system.
- Extensive knowledge of IP-related protocols, networking, and communications.
- Strong understanding of Controls Protocols including BACnet and Modbus.
- Ability to read wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, standards, and plant operating instructions.
- Current Australian Driver’s Licence.
If you lack previous experience in the BMS field but have a strong desire and interest to become a trainee, we encourage you to apply.
Non-Essential but Advantageous Skills:
- Tridium Niagara training.
- Innotech training.
- Any form of programming experience with HVAC controls.
- Refrigeration Licence.
- Instrumentation experience.
- Electrical Licence
