Job Title – Senior Business Analyst
Job Location – Sydney

We are looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst to support a large-scale transformation program focused on modernizing regulatory schemes, customer services, payments, and business processes. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in payment processing, scheme/regulatory administration, end-to-end process analysis,
requirements gathering, and digital transformation. Key Responsibilities
Engage with business stakeholders, SMEs, Product Owners, architects, and delivery teams to gather and validate requirements.
Lead workshops, interviews, discovery sessions, and process walkthroughs.
Analyze current-state and future-state processes and identify opportunities for optimization and automation.
Document BRDs, functional/non-functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, process maps, business rules, and data mappings.
Analyze customer journeys covering applications, assessments, payments, compliance, notifications, reviews, appeals, and support processes.
Analyze payment workflows, validations, reconciliation, exceptions, and financial controls.
Facilitate discussions between business and technology teams to translate requirements into effective solutions.
Support SIT, UAT, defect triage, data migration, reporting, integrations, and production readiness.
Conduct business, operational, legislative, policy, and technology impact assessments.
Support business readiness, including process documentation, training, and stakeholder communications.
Key Skills & Experience 7+ years of Business Analysis experience across large-scale transformation programs.
Strong experience in payments, financial transactions, licensing, regulatory services, grants,
subsidies, rebates, or scheme administration.
Robust end-to-end business process analysis and process re-engineering experience.
Excellent requirements elicitation, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Experience working in Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid environments.

Government or highly regulated industry experience.
Experience with payment/reconciliation platforms and financial controls.
Experience with customer-facing digital platforms, portals, or self-service solutions.
Exposure to case management, workflow, document management, APIs, integrations, and data migration.
Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms.
Transport, licensing, compliance, grants, rebates, or scheme administration experience.
