Data Engineer | Melbourne | $900 - 1100 per day | 6 months A national client scaling its data engineering capability, following the go live of its Databricks platform earlier this year. Demand from the business has grown quickly since, and the team needs someone who can own pipelines end to end, not just build and hand off. This is a small team environment, so someone who takes ownership through to ongoing support and thinks long term about what you build, would be a valuable fit.

The role

- Build and support data pipelines end to end across AWS and Databricks, with infrastructure managed through Terraform
- Work with Unity Catalog, not just calling Databricks as a step within another pipeline tool
- Own pipelines from build through to ongoing support, in a small team where that ownership matters
- Baseline clearance required to start, no time available to sponsor





The person:
- Strong background across AWS, Databricks and Terraform
- Genuine end-to-end Databricks experience, including Unity Catalog, not limited to orchestration callouts from ADF or Synapse
- Strong problem-solving approach and long-term thinking, not a hand-and-walk-away mindset
- Holds baseline clearance
