Responsibilities - Develop first principles estimates for overhead transmission lines and/or substation from 66 kV to 500 kV - Interpret drawings, methods and market pricing to build competitive tender submissions - Work with the National Transmission Estimating Manager and collaborate with construction, engineering and procurement teams - Support tender governance, reviews and BAFO responses - Build first principles cost models - Deliver accurate quantity take off - Coordinate RFQs and assess pricing - Maintain cost databases - Define construction methods and rates - Support tender pricing reviews Requirements - HV line and substation construction knowledge - First principles estimating skill - Advanced Excel and estimating systems - Engineering degree or trade - 8+ years infrastructure experience Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in first principles estimating for overhead transmission lines and substations, with a robust foundation in HV line construction and advanced proficiency in Excel and estimating systems.
