Industries and Regional Development and play a key role in evaluating government programs that deliver real outcomes for regional communities across NSW. Working alongside evaluation specialists, you'll help collect, analyse and interpret data that informs investment decisions, strengthens program performance, and demonstrates impact.
About the role As the Senior Evaluation Advisor, you will coordinate and deliver evaluation projects that measure the efficiency, effectiveness and impact of grant programs administered by the Regional Programs & Partnerships teams. You’ll provide expert advice, lead the development of evaluation frameworks, and produce high-quality insights and reporting for senior executives and government. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys analytical work,
stakeholder engagement, and influencing program improvement through evidence-based evaluation.
Coordinate and deliver process and outcome evaluation projects across a variety of funding programs.
Analyse and report data to assess program performance, governance, compliance and social/economic outcomes.
Provide specialist evaluation advice to senior leaders and program teams.
Support the development of evaluation frameworks, performance measures and data collection strategies and mechanisms Communicate meaningful insights, lessons learned and recommendations for continuous improvement.
Work collaboratively with the departmental evaluation unit to ensure alignment with NSW Government frameworks.
Build strong relationships with government partners, contractors, and industry stakeholders.
Prepare high-quality reports, briefings and correspondence. About you You are an experienced evaluator who thrives in a dynamic environment and can balance competing priorities. You bring strong analytical capability, excellent communication skills, and a practical understanding of public sector governance and grants administration. We're looking for someone who:
