We are looking for an experienced and passionate Senior Grants Officer to lead and strengthen our community grants programs and support initiatives that make a real difference across Latrobe City.

This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with community groups, local organisations, funding bodies and Council teams to help deliver meaningful projects that support community wellbeing and participation.

About the Role

As the Senior Grants Officer, you will lead the administration and continuous improvement of Council's community grants programs, ensuring funding opportunities are accessible, transparent and aligned with community needs and Council priorities.

Working as part of the Social Policy & Inclusion team, you will:

- Manage the full lifecycle of community grant programs, from planning and application processes through to funding agreements, reporting and acquittals.
- Provide guidance and support to community groups seeking funding opportunities.
- Facilitate grant information sessions and capacity-building activities for community groups.
- Monitor funded projects and ensure compliance with funding agreements and governance requirements.
- Prepare reports, analyse program data and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Supervise and support the Grants Administration Officer and other project resources as required.

You are a highly organised and community-focused professional who enjoys building relationships and supporting positive outcomes for local communities.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Degree or Diploma in community engagement,



community development or other relevant field with some relevant experience or lesser qualification with substantial relevant experience in community grants programs or other relevant sector.
- Substantial experience in supporting community groups and community members and managing collaborative projects.
- Substantial experience in the management and administration of grant and sponsorship programs and the use of relevant computer programs.
- A current Victorian Driver’s license.

Successful applicants will be required to apply for and satisfactorily obtain a National Police Check and Working with Children's Check.
