This role offers the opportunity to build software supporting large-scale mining and operational technology environments, working with modern cloud-native architectures, real-time data platforms and mission-critical applications. You'll collaborate with experienced engineers across international teams while contributing to products used by some of the world's largest mining operations.

What you'll be doing
- Develop high-quality Java applications and backend services
- Build and enhance RESTful APIs and microservices
- Design scalable, resilient and maintainable solutions
- Contribute to technical design and delivery planning
- Write clean, testable and well-documented code
- Review code and support engineering best practices
- Investigate and resolve complex production issues
- Collaborate with QA, product and engineering teams
- Improve system performance, reliability and security
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
What you need to bring
- 7 years' commercial software development experience
- Strong Java development expertise
- Experience with Spring Framework and Spring Boot
- RESTful API development experience
- Experience working with microservices architectures
- Strong database design and development skills
- Exposure to modern build and testing practices
- Understanding of secure software development principles
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Commitment to continuous learning and improvement
