Who We Are Australian Gas Infrastructure Group (AGIG) owns, operates and invests in infrastructure which delivers gas to more than two million homes and businesses, and is one of the largest gas infrastructure businesses in Australia. AGIG manages distribution networks, transmission pipelines and storage capacity. AGIG recently grew to over 1200 employees.

We also manage a large contractor workforce, who provide both specialist and operating and maintenance services on AGIG's gas distribution networks.

About the Opportunity At AGIG, our Finance team plays an important role in enabling our business strategy by providing trusted insights, strong financial stewardship and commercial support across the organisation. Through collaboration and partnership, our Finance professionals help shape decisions that create value for our customers, communities and the future of energy.

Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, the Senior Management Accountant will be a trusted finance partner to the business, providing meaningful insights, supporting informed decision-making and helping drive strong financial outcomes across an assigned AGIG division. This 12-month fixed-term opportunity will see you work closely with leaders, stakeholders and Finance colleagues to deliver quality reporting, strengthen processes and contribute to continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

- Build trusted partnerships with Executive General Managers and cost centre owners, providing thoughtful financial advice, insights and support to help guide business decisions and outcomes.
- Month end accounting including journals, review of required accruals and cost assessment.
- Prepare and review monthly operating reports,



using financial analysis and storytelling to explain performance, highlight trends and provide practical recommendations.
- Collaborate with Finance teams and business stakeholders to support accurate financial reporting, ensuring timely delivery of meaningful insights across AGIG.
- Work alongside stakeholders to understand business priorities, review financial performance, support budgeting and forecasting activities, and identify opportunities to improve outcomes.
- Provide financial guidance and reporting support for key projects, including capital initiatives, balance sheet reconciliations, audit activities and stakeholder information requests.
- Identify opportunities to simplify, improve and enhance financial processes, systems, reporting practices and internal controls through a continuous improvement mindset.
- Support the Senior Finance Manager by sharing knowledge, mentoring colleagues and contributing to a collaborative environment focused on capability development and success.

About You

- A relevant tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or a related discipline, together with CA or CPA qualification.
- 7-10 years' experience in accounting, finance or a related discipline, with experience providing management accounting and business partnering support.
- Strong experience using SAP systems, including SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA, with the ability to leverage technology to improve financial outcomes.
- Strong analytical capability, with the ability to interpret financial information, understand key drivers and provide clear, practical recommendations.
- Experience across financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and performance analysis, with a focus on delivering accurate and valuable insights.
- Advanced Excel and Power BI skills, with the ability to create meaningful reports and translate data into actionable insights.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with a proactive approach,



attention to detail and a genuine commitment to collaboration and continuous improvement.
