Working closely with the Associate Director, you'll build influential relationships across government, champion AI-enabled innovation, and help deliver initiatives that advance equitable genomic medicine. About Your New Team The

Centre for Population Genomics (CPG) is a joint initiative of the Murdoch Children's Research Institute and the Garvan Institute of Medical Research, bringing together leading experts in genomics, data science and population health. CPG is working to build a more equitable future for genomic medicine by partnering with diverse communities and driving research that improves health outcomes for all Australians. What You’ll Do Lead government partnerships across Commonwealth, State and Territory jurisdictions

Build and influence strategic relationships with government, ministers' offices and key stakeholders

Partner with the Associate Director to drive executive priorities and strategic decision-making

Lead high-impact strategic initiatives that support organisational growth and performance

Champion AI-enabled innovation to improve business operations and organisational capability

Develop executive briefings, submissions and presentations for government and senior stakeholders

Provide governance and secretariat support for executive meetings and strategic forums

Identify emerging policy, funding and partnership opportunities to advance CPG's mission





Coordinate cross-functional projects and drive delivery across diverse teams

Manage complex stakeholder engagement while proactively identifying and mitigating risks What You’ll Bring Relevant tertiary qualification in government relations, business, management or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)

Significant experience supporting senior executives in a complex organisation

Proven success building government and strategic stakeholder relationships

Exceptional written communication skills, including executive briefings, reports and presentations
