Malaysia 26K 3 international branch campuses in Australia OVERVIEW Standards Australia is seeking a Senior Manager, International Strategy, Partnerships and Impact based in ACT, Australia.

The role focuses on advancing international engagement, strategic partnerships, and organisational influence to support economic, trade, regulatory, and foreign policy objectives. The position places a strong emphasis on relationship management across governments, multilateral institutions, standards bodies, industry, and development organisations, particularly within the Indo-Pacific region. The successful candidate will contribute to positioning standards as an enabler of trade, innovation, economic security, and foreign policy outcomes.

This role also involves representing Standards Australia in domestic and international forums while supporting organisational growth and strategic priorities.

Key responsibilities - Lead and support strategic partnerships and initiatives aligned with organisational priorities and growth objectives

- Develop and manage high-value relationships with government agencies, diplomatic representatives, international organisations, industry leaders, and funding organisations
- Prepare high-quality briefs, submissions, talking points, position papers, and analysis on the geostrategic importance of standards
- Develop proposals, business cases, funding bids, and partnership agreements to secure external support and investment




- Develop and maintain a pipeline of strategic opportunities that enhance organisational impact, capability, funding base, and international presence, particularly in the Indo-Pacific
- Represent Standards Australia and Australia's standards community in domestic and international forums, bilateral engagements, multilateral meetings, and stakeholder discussions
- Provide strategic advice on Australian Government priorities
- Develop project and program budgets
- Support effective stakeholder engagement across the organisation
- Mentor and support junior team members
- Promote collaboration, knowledge sharing, and a high-performance team culture Requirements - Experience in diplomacy, international policy, government relations, trade, international development, public policy, or related fields
- Demonstrated understanding of Australian Government policy development, decision-making processes, and machinery of government arrangements
- Experience working in, or leading engagement with stakeholders in the Indo-Pacific, including governments, regional organisations, and development partners, would be highly regarded
- Exceptional written communication skills, including preparation of briefs,



submissions, position papers, and funding proposals
- Willingness and capacity to undertake domestic and international travel as required
