We?re looking for a Senior Manual Machinist to join our Fabrication Team in Hemmant Workshop, working across precision machining, heavy machine operations, fitting and alignment for industrial fabrication, repair and maintenance projects.

This is a hands-on role for a machinist who knows their trade, works independently and takes pride in getting the job right.

What the Role Involves

You?ll be responsible for precision manual machining across a range of industrial fabrication, repair and maintenance projects.

You?ll be involved in:

- Setting up and operating manual lathes, borers, mills, grinders and drill presses
- Turning, milling, drilling, tapping, grinding and precision machining
- Reading drawings and working to tight tolerances and specifications
- Precision fitting, assembly, alignment and quality inspection of components
- Working independently while supporting apprentices, junior machinists and the wider workshop team
- Maintaining machinery, tooling and a clean, safe workshop environment

Are You an ENAP Fit?

- 8+ years? experience in manual machining
- Certificate III in Engineering ? Mechanical Trade or equivalent
- Strong experience operating manual lathes, borers and milling machines
- Solid knowledge of manual machining techniques and processes
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Strong fitting,



alignment and precision measurement skills
- Ability to work independently and solve machining challenges
- Experience working with a range of materials and industrial components
- TIG and MIG welding capability highly regarded
- Experience mentoring apprentices or junior machinists highly regarded
